Next Generation Technologies Solutions and Services

Enterprise Solutions, Inc. (“ESI”) understands that the adoption of next generation technologies such as, Windows Vista, Microsoft Office 2007, IPv6 , etc. is not merely a technology insertion or network and software upgrade; it is nothing less than an enterprise-wide transformation driven by business, environmental, and technology factors, the scope and impact of which extend well beyond an organization's Information Technology (IT) infrastructure. Windows Vista and IPv6 are both large packages. On IPv6 for example, IP addressing is only its most visible feature. Windows Vista and/or IPv6 will impact the organization's decisions regarding business performance, business process, information technology infrastructure, security, and other strategic initiatives. When fully deployed and functional, Windows Vista and/or IPv6 will not only result in specific, enhanced capabilities, but will establish an entirely new operation paradigm.

Supporting the planning, migration, integration, deployment, and support of next generation technologies such as Windows Vista and IPv6 requires expertise not only in the next generation technologies but also in business transformation and improvement as well. ESI has these qualifications and brings a wealth of experiences and proven records of success to our clients. Through our Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) framework, we ensure that the appropriate management and performance disciplines are in place to effectively align resources to our customer and we ensure our customer's continuous ability to adapt to meet their ever changing requirements. We focus in delivering full lifecycle strategy, alignment, analysis, and delivery capabilities framework as well as compliance with OMB mandates such as:

  • OMB Memo M-05-22 - Transition Planning for Internet Protocol Version 6
  • OMB Memo M-07-18 – Implementation of Commonly Accepted Security Configurations for Windows Operating Systems

ESI offers an Enterprise “On-Demand” Next Generation Technology Deployment solution that provides organizations with a proven and streamlined approach to deploying next generation technologies such as Windows Vista, Microsoft Office 2007, or IPv6. We offer a “Self-Provisioning” deployment solution that allows organizations to control, select, and schedule the type of automated deployment of operating systems, COTS, mission-critical and/or customized applications, service packs, etc. to the desktop and/or servers.

Our solution offering offers the following benefits:

  • Significant reduction of required personnel to deploy next generation
technologies resulting in significant reduction of Total Cost of Ownership
(TCO) and realization of Return on Investment (ROI) in a significantly
    shortened time.

  • Provides streamlined desktop migration and ensures consistency of system configurations such as, desktop images, across the enterprise.

  • Allows phase-in approach to migration. For example, Windows Vista can be deployed on desktops in any of the following IP operational modes depending on the current stage of an organization's transition from IPv4 to IPv6:

    Native IPv4
    Dual-Stack IPv4 and IPv6
    Native IPv6

  • As organizations plan and adopt their strategies for IPv6 migration, our self- provisioning solution allows an easy, fast, consistent, and automated desktop migration path to IPv6.
